He is thought to have been a merchant seaman as he does not appear on the 1939 Register. Angelo Pellosini with date of birth matching that on Home Office index card entered New York 1947 to work for Marine Transport Lines, occupation given as Boatswain. An Angelo Pellosini also appears on a crew list as 1st Cook aboard the SS ‘San Juan’ arriving in New York in February 1957. He was an Italian with passport number SB25565 (Ancestry). His HO396 card records: Angelo Pellosini born Ameglia 11-7-1898, recorded as held at Metropole Camp. US immigration records show him arriving in that country in 1947, occupation: Boatswain. |
